Winemaking Notes: Picking on the Merlot began September 4th at 25 Brix. Cap management was a combination of pump overs and pulsed air to maintain fruit and tannin structure. Wine was kept on French and American oak staves for 6 months with micro-oxygenation.

Vineyard Information: Four Feathers is a hot site adjacent to Cold Creek Vineyard. Soil here is silty loam with north and south facing slopes. Red varieties grown at this site are powerful while staying true to varietal characteristics. Beverly Vinyard, located north of the Wahluke Slope, is one of our hottest sites. Wines from this site reflect the unique location, showcasing the complexity and power.
