Vineyard/AVA Description
Four Feathers Vineyard, a hot vineyard site adjacent to the famed Cold Creek Vineyard, is planted on both north and south facing slopes of silty loam. This vineyard produces concentrated, powerful, and age-worthy wines with classic character.
Winemaking
Fruit was picked October 21-23 and fermented in stainless steel tanks Cap management was strategic during fermentation utilizing pump overs and delestage. Once pressed and fermentation was complete, wine was aged on oak with micro-oxygenation for 7 months.
Tasting Notes
Bright and inviting, this Merlot opens with aromas of fresh berries and delicate florals. On the palate, vibrant cranberry and juicy berry flavors are complemented by warm baking spices. Smooth and approachable, with a beautifully balanced finish.
