Vineyard Information: This wine is a true example of how our vineyards can blend together to make a wine greater than the sum of its parts. Syrah from Beverly Vineyard (42%), McNary Vineyard (37%), and Zillah Ranch (21%) were picked intentionally with this blend in mind, creating a wine that is balanced enough to be enjoyed with a backyard barbeque but serious enough to taste on its own. Beverly Vineyard Syrah contributes ripe, rich fruit flavors and structure; McNary Vineyard Syrah brings bright, juicy flavors and minerality; Zillah Ranch contributes herbal and earthy flavors.
Winemaker's Notes: In the glass, this Syrah exhibits a deep, opaque violet hue. Aromas of blueberries, violets, and olive immediately rise from the glass. On the palate, ripe fruit flavors take center stage, with blackberries and plum leading the way. Savory flavors like cracked black pepper, grilled meat, and sage are woven through the ripe fruit. The wine's tannins are firm but velvety, providing a structured backbone that complements the lush fruit. A mineral streak runs from the mid-palate through the finish, leaving graphite and tar along with ripe berries lingering long after the wine is gone.
